:confused3 Hi all,
Need help deciding on resort. I am currently booked (bounce back) for 10 nights YC concierge gv, but have always wanted to stay at the poly. Have lately read concerns with poly with mousekeeping. Also read that lounge for poly is nicer and open 24 hours. It will be me and dh only, so confused !! I thought about a split stay, but would prefer one location-- help, any suggestions. thanks

We (me, DW, DS 15, DD 10) were at the Poly from Aug.15-24, and we had absolutely NO complaints. We got the room location (Tokelau, 3rd floor) that we requested, and Mousekeeping was great. We requested early cleaning and each day our room was done before noon. We had towel creatures 2 days, which was somewhat less than the everyday ones we got at the WL, but really not a big deal. Our room was spotless when we checked in (early on a Wed., by the way). The only thing that was a little bit of a disappointment was how crowded the Volcano pool was every day. We think being "zero entry", along with the fact that it is only 4.5 feet deep at its deepest, attracts many, many toddlers and young children with, obviously, their parents. So, we just hung out at the quiet pool.It will by no means keep us from returning to our favorite resort. Good luck !! :thumbsup2

I have never stayed concierge nor have I stayed at the YC, but I have stayed at the BC and the Poly. IMHO there is no comparison, I love the Poly. Our room at the Poly has always been done in the morning, we have never had any complaints. I LOVE watching the wishes fireworks from the beach. The location of the Poly is the best of any resort. I assume that the YC is very similar to the BC. We were disappointed when we stayed at the BC for a number of reasons. One day we were gone until midnight. When returned to our room, we discovered that mousekeeping never showed up. We found that the rooms are small compared to the Poly. The grounds can not compare to the resort feel of the Poly. There is no real counter service restaurant at the YC/BC (Beaches and Cream just doesn't compare to Captain Cooks). Given the choice, I would always stay at the Poly.

If you plan to spend most of you're time at the Magic Kingdom, then I would go with the Polynesian. If you plan to spend most of you're time at Epcot and MGM, then go with the Yacht Club.

Personally I would go with the Polynesian because it seems like there is a lot more going on, where as the Yacht Club which is a nice Resort however I think there is no atmosphere.

We've stayed at Club Level in both resorts and IMHO the Poly wins hands down. The lounge and offerings are way better. :)

We always used to stay at the Beach Club but now always stay in the Hawaii building at the Poly. The club level there is so much nicer. For example, they have cooler that stays stocked with soft drinks and water 24 hours a day that you can get a drink out of any time. At the Beach Club they lock up at 10PM and even before that we have had to knock on the door and hope someone would hand us water or a soft drink. The food offerings are much better also, the staff friendlier, you just can not beat the Poly.

Thanks for posting that we can get drinks anytime we want, because a few weeks ago my parents and I were wondering once the Cast Members leave the Hawaii Longhouse at 10:00 PM if they also take the drinks out of the fridge. So at least we now know that answer.

Thanks everyone for all your help. Decided with DH (as he really wanted yc )that we will stay with yc this year, but next year we will stay at the poly. This way I get to go 2x lol, I'm sure yc is great, now I'll get to experience both. :cool1:
