Would love some opinions on where we should stay this May for our 5th Anniversary. It is sort of a last minute idea - we decided that we would love to be at WDW for our special day. Since we still have our active AP's, this isn't out of the question.

We have stayed at the POP Century on our last 2 trips & we really LOVE it there! :cloud9: We love the speedy transportation (no bus sharing) and the food court is great, too. But, I can't help but wonder if it would be nice to maybe check out one of the moderates for this special trip.

My hubby's favorite that we've stayed at was the Polynesian - this makes me think that we might enjoy Caribbean Beach.

My favorite for theme is the Wilderness Lodge & I've always loved the Southwest - this makes me consider Coronado Springs or Port Orleans Riverside.

The difference is about $150 for us to upgrade to a moderate - do you think this is worth it? Or should we stick with what we know we love? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :teeth:

Definately Pop century..we love it way more than the moderate resorts.

We stayed POR for our 10th anniversary. We chose the right resort. It was quiet and beautiful. We had a corner room overlooking a rose garden. Had booked standard view. A quiet pool right outside our building. Less than 5 minutes to the main pool. The boat to DTD was great. We walked over to the FQ one morning and it was much more crowded and busy. Lots more kids. Which is okay. I have 2 of my own, but it was our anniversary. The lounge/bar was fun at night. The food court and sit down restaurant was yummy. We loved it so much we are going back in August with our kids.

Well, so far it seems like POR is really winning the poll. Can you all tell me why you love POR so much? For some reason, when I look at the pictures of the resort I'm just not sure it's for us. I am leaning towards Coronado for the theme & feel & my hubby is leaning towards Caribbean Beach. Any other thoughts?

thanks! :)

My fav moderate is CS. We love the resort. It's so beautiful, especially at night. If you get a room in the casistas builiding or by one of the quiet pools, its really lovely. We are staying at POFQ our next trip, so I may have a new favorite :) But my vote is Coronado.

Since your DH likes the Polynesian, I voted for CBR. I would spend the extra money on a preferred room so you can be close to OPR (food court, main pool).

the layout at POR is very different - at both CBR and CSR - all the stuff is located in one place - if you are far from this place - either you take the bus or you have a long walk.

POR has bridges connecting even the furthest room to the food court fairly easily.

POR landscaping is pretty wonderful. go see the rose garden and the butterfly garden.

the mansion is just plain lovely - the AB section is cute

the boat to DD is a big plus - take it at night for romance - during the day to shop.

I love the food court.

the only Food court that has water views!

if you love Pop century - you will love POR - it has some of the same features you love from Pop.

a lovely water scene - plenty of room - great pools (it has several) - very friendly CM.

one of the survey say it was 3rd on the list for honeymooners - after WL, Polyn - but that was before AKL or Pop were built.
