We decided a 2007 trip to WDW wasn't in the cards for us since we're expecting our first child in April. We both are bummed but DH is especially missing it. He watches the planning DVDs and videos of the rides when he isn't working. I thought for Valentines Day I would make up a mock day at Disney but have NO idea where to begin. I've been looking up local hotels since that's part of the fun but unless I can "disney it up" I see no point in wasting the money.

I'm at a loss, any ideas on how I could pull something like this off?

First, Welcome to the DIS!
Second, congrats on having a baby!

Now. This isn't exactly an "at home vacation."
I don't know if you've finished up most of your shopping for the baby, but, if there are some things you still need, get your husband to help you find something Disney-related.

I hope this helps.

Do y'all have a Cookies by Design near where you live? You could order him Disney cookie bouquet.

I just noticed on the home page that you can order this online.
Also,if you like to cook, there are sites that have WDW recipes.
Have a great time whatever you decide and congrats on the baby!!!

What theme is the baby's room going to be? Maybe instead of a disney weekend you could do a disney/babymoon weekend. Stay at a local hotel and plan a weekend of wrapping up the baby shopping. Or you could spend the weekend doing the baby's room at home... especially if you are doing a Disney theme nursery. You could have Disney Park music playing in the background while you clean, organize and decorate the baby's room. You could make dinner from DisneyWorld recipes, from your favorite resturant.

:confused3 Good Luck!!

Congrats.. we are due with our first prince on 4/22.

Place hidden mickey's all over the house.

It's not for Valentine's Day, but I googled Rochester and Disney and saw that Disney on Ice is coming to Rochester Jan 17-21, or Buffalo Jan 24-28. You could reserve a nice hotel for a night or two as a mini getaway. Find some big mylar Mickey balloons to put in the room. Make some Mickey head rice crispie treats for a late night snack. Make a couple hidden mickeys and give DH a "prize" for finding them ;) . If you have any Disney Stores in the area, go pick out an outfit for the baby to wear for next years trip.

Find a good picture of main street (like the photo above me) and photoshop the two of you in it and put it in a cute disney frame :) .If you don't know how, I'm sure there are many people here who could do it for you.
