Need help copying DVD...

I am pretty clueless when it comes to using my camcorder but I have followed the instructions. I have a Panasonic miniDVD camcorder. I recorded video and finalized the DVD. I am trying to use the Panasonic software to make a copy of the DVD. The DVD-Movisalbum program keeps telling me to insert a readable disc. I have tried hooking up the camera to the computer (and switching the program to read from the E drive) and also tried inserting the disc into the computer. Nothing works, the program will not recognize the disc. When I open up Windows Media Player the DVD plays with no problems. What am I doing wrong? Is there any other way to copy this DVD?

check and make sure you are using the correct type of DVD, yes there is a difference
