We are trying to convince my sister & BIL to book with us on one of the 2005 repositioning cruises ... they have two boys that will be ages 6 and 8 at the time of the cruise.

My sister's concern is that there won't be enough for the boys to do on days at sea (she doesn't think my BIL will be thrilled with putting the boys in the Oceaneer's Club/Lab).

Can you guys help me come up with points/arguments/reasons (call them what you will) to convince her to come with.....basically looking for support that the Oceaneers Club/Lab are safe and fun, what other things they can do if not in the Club/Lab, etc.

Thanks!!!!

There is so much to do for kids even if they don't do the kids clubs. My DD loves to go to the movies-first run. There are lots of family activities to do together--Mickey Mania; family line dancing; character opportunities; the vegetable car race thing; shuffleboard, ping-pong; family golf putting; Mr. Toad's Wild Ride;
family shows, including the talent show; the deck parties. Yuo have to work to be bored on a disney cruise.

Disney knows children and how to keep them entertained. The facilities are top-notch as are the counselors. This isn't "daycare" think summer camp.

My DD LOVED the lab. It was completely safe. You get a pager and they'll page you if there are any problems at all. We actually had to force my DD out for dinner. When they move from activity to activity there is always one counselor in the front of the line and one in back.

If they don't like the lab, then there's always evening shows, movies, sports deck, arcade, swimming pool, mickey slide, ping pong.

I would think 6 and 8 are the absolute perfect age for a Disney cruise.

Good luck.

My DS6 loved the Clubs. He was unsure at first and paged us the first two times within 20 mins. He then realized we were not far away and had a blast. They have lots of great things for the kids. If they don't like that, how about pools. Wait there are two of them for the kids. Especially when the boat is moving and the Goofy pools gets-a-sloshin'. There is the arcade, there are ping pong tables on deck. There is playstation in the clubs, there is the water slide at the Mickey Pool, there is eating. Ice cream, pizza, you name it. There are the movies. We saw Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion and I think Brother Bear was first run, but we didn't see it. There is walking around and exploring with your children. A long walk on deck is priceless. We played basketball, a little street hockey, soccer. There's the time spent searching for Captain Hook, unless he finds you pirate: There are the family game shows, karoake,

They will have so much fun they won't even know what to do with themselves. Like NC said, you have to work to be bored. We found we couldn't do everything that was offered.

While in the clubs, the kids aren't moved in "public" areas from venue to venue either for safety.

She should go and enjoy and not worry. Dad will be fine too.
