We have been to WDW 4 times since 2004, as far as I'm concerned not often enough! We took our honeymoon in 2004, took our first two sons in 2007 when they were almost 2 and 6 months old, took them again for DH's birthday in 2009, and in Jan 2011 we went with 16 members of our family for my birthday. Our last trip was really awful, and it took about a week after we got back before I started wanting to go back because I felt like we did/saw nothing.
Our last trip was really a disaster, too many people. We got there about 5 hours later than we were supposed to, because of people wanting to stop way too often. Then we had a few problems with Disney transportation (basically first day didn't get everyone to the parks till almost noon b/c we had to wait for a bus to transport MIL and uncle who were handicapped, I think 3 or 4 buses came before they could finally get on one). It rained 2 or 3 of the days we were there. We spent most of our time in MK trying to find people because the kids wanted to ride with certain family members. The kids didn't cooperate the first day we went to Epcot (our favorite park) and the second day we went DH got sick 30 minutes after we got there, so we went back to the hotel for the day. Our best time was probably the last day we were there and in the end I got sick driving home!
So anyway, I've felt jipped since the day we got home and have wanted to do a trip with just us. We started planning another trip for 2014, and wanted to also go on a Disney cruise too. I'm just concerned of the number of days, and have a feeling we won't be able to pull it off or will have to make it shorter. I checked out the free dining offer for Sept just for giggles and the quote I got seems really reasonable (or maybe I just want to go that bad!) I brought it up to DH and he at first said "ok lets go" then I got "lets talk about it".
We chatted for about 5 minutes last night and his concerns are that the kids are going to get burned out on Disney. The kids have been asking to go back since we got home. And that we were planning on going somewhere else and he thinks we can go there for half the price, I think otherwise (I think just the rental on the condo will be as much as or fairly close to the disney trip). Help me convince him to squeeze in a trip now!
