We are planning a trip for next year and are staying 10 days at Bonnet Creek...my DH loves to have extra space and we are adding a new addition to our family so there will be three kids so the extra room is nice.
However, having said that I am dying to stay onsite...my youngest (will be middle child) love animals and really wants to stay at AKL....how can I convince my DH to do a two night stay there before heading to BC? I think it will be the last trip where we can get five of us in a standard room right?
I would love to stay BLT but AKL looks more kid friendly and my daughters keep picking it out as the one they want. I would love to rent points for a villa but it doesn't seem financially possible.

What are some suggestions to convince DH it is worth it to try onsite for a few nights?
my plan would be to enjoy the resort the day we arrive and second morning and then the afternoon do BBB at the castle and hit MNNSHP at night. What do you think?

I want to do something similar for our next trip...stay at Beach Club for the last two days of the trip after camping at FW. Your family still has a couple of years as a family of "4". The baby won't count toward room capacity until he/she is 3. Personally, I think you have a great plan as long as going over to Bonnet Creek after AKL is not considered "a step down." Those who switch resorts suggest the higher end resort first. Good luck convincing hubby! :goodvibes

We do this a lot. We always stay in the hotel room first so we can move to the 2BR timeshare and spread out after. Going from huge accommodations to a tiny room is a hard transition for us.

We rented points for a studio at AKV (Jambo) and absolutely LOVED it. We would definitely do it again. I think it came out to $200 a night. We said we would take the kids back there (it was an adults only trip).

Best of both worlds that way. ;) Keep an eye out for free dining or other discounts during your trip and that may help to persuade him.

Who did you rent points thru? I am thinking this might be a good solution to rent a 1 bedroom or studio to make it seem like it isn't just a hotel room. I have always wanted to stay at the contemporary but it will be for later when the kids are older.
I am wondering what it would cost for a 1 bedroom at akv for two nights?

Do you hit the parks when you do the 2 nights first? I am hoping my plan sounds okay

Thanks..We love Bonnet Creek and have stayed there twice before. I know we will love it there again. I just really want to stay onsite!!
I stay at home with our kids so it is hard to convince DH to spend more than he thinks is necessary, especially when he loves the space of bonnet creek.
