Need help choosing - BCV or BWV

We want to join DVC and are deciding between BCV and BWV. What are things you like/dislike about each property? I'd like to know about things like transportation, dining, activities, etc. At this point, I'm not concerned with best use of points and cost to buy in. I'm trying to decide which property is a good fit for us.

BWV is our home resort, but we have stayed at BCV several times - both are awesome resorts. As beautiful as BCV is, I am still glad I chose BWV for a few reasons - we love staying boardwalk view and overlooking the action - also great when the kids (and now grands for us) are at an age when they can enjoy going out on their own - ESPN club & arcade, boardwalk shops and games, arcade, etc - while we can keep an eye out from the balcony. DS also loved the fitness club through his teen years - but BCV has one, too. As much as everyone raves about the pool at BCV - and it is fabulous - I prefer a more 'contained' pool area when the kids are younger - I found it difficult to keep track of a 10 yo and a 5 yo at Stormalong Bay - they both wanted to head in different directions and that meant no rest for me - there is no where to sit where you can 'see' the whole pool. At BWV they love the Clown pool slide and I can get a few minutes of rest while watching from a lounge chair!! DGrD (5) and DNeph(11) also enjoy the Community Hall at BWV. Like I said, both resorts are great - you can't go wrong - just a matter of personal preferences. PS: what we love most about BCV are the B'fast at Cape May and Beaches and Cream - and the location, of course!! Love the decor of both - but we live at the beach, so we are biased!

When making the same decision a few years ago, we chose BWV because of the BW view from some of the rooms and the fact that it was a booking category that we could guarantee. There are no rooms at all at BCV with a boardwalk view.

I don't spend much, if any, time in DVC pools. If you do, you might like the pool at BCV better.
