We currently have a cheap umbrella and double umbrella for them. However, they are approaching the weight limit (they weigh 32,35, and 35 pounds). I'm afraid by December they will be over the limit. Is that really a problem, or should we be ok?

If not, I'm looking for a single and a double that are lightweight, easy to fold, and comfortable for the kids. 2 of my children have cerebral palsy and have trouble walking long distances. We will be using the strollers constantly in the parks, etc.

Thanks for any help!

I have 2 kids 17 months apart. I have gone through 3 double strollers beause my older child is heavy they kept breakng. I finally bought a Maclaren because it has a wieght limit of 55 lbs. It reclines and has a basket. It folds like an umbrella. I wa able to get on the buses at Disney by myself with my kids and a bag and the stroller with no problems.

It is a expensive stroller though so you may not want to spend the money on it.

i would go with a maclaren rally twin and a maclaren volo. both are very lightweight and will hold up to about 55lbs so you'll get a lot more use of them.

you can get the best deals online but you can try them out at babies r us (i know my store carries them).

I wouldn't bother with new strollers. I actually had my older two girls (5 and 6) in a double umbrella stroller last summer, they were technically a few pounds over the weight limit, and it was fine. Try it out when it gets closer and you'll have a better idea. As for the cheapie umbrella single stroller, just make sure it has a canopy top - that's the most important thing for us.

We use a kolcraft double stoller for my boys (they were probably around 35 and 30 lbs then). It reclines and they actually napped in it. It also has a canopy and 2 mesh baskets. It worked really well. It was aound $ 60 I think.
LOVE the picture, they are beautiful!
