Hey I need some help on deciding a cruise to go on in summer 2019! The options I've picked out are a 5-night Barcelona Med. cruise on 7-9-19, a 7-night Rome to Barcelona Med. cruise 6-22-19, or the 10-night Barcelona Med. cruise on 6-29-19. I really like the two days at sea the 10-night and the others only have one each. I also want to stay in Barcelona and/or Rome pre or post cruise and I can choose! Thank you everyone!

Well, I'm firmly in the "longer is better" camp when it comes to cruising. So the 10 night would win out for me.

I would love to do that 10 night one too!!!! I'm eyeing that one and the 11 night southern caribbean. Bracing myself for the pricing!

yes price is a factor I will have to consider!

thanks for your opinion!

Have you considered the 8 night Rome cruise with 2 sea days? I was debating between the 8 night and 10 night and decided to go with the 8 because I want to spend additional time in Rome. The 8 night still has a port day in Barcelona.

With the options you listed, I would go with the 10 night.

Thank you I will look into that!

definitely consider HOW many sea days would be good for you. This year i had no choice but to do 7 day med - and only have 1 sea day. I really wish we had 2 sea days- so it's not so port intensive, we could enjoy the ship more and relax.

Yes- i am aware i don't have to get off at every port- but it's hard to resist if we're already docked!!

i did 7 day last time - and felt it wasn't long enough to fully relax and enjoy.

Our Med cruise was a 10 night one (only 2 sea days). I was so glad we'd booked the TA immediately following for a bunch of easy going sea days after.

We did the same thing for the same reason with the same results. Got into Barcelona three days in advance...awesome city even though I got pickpocketed (my fault). The TA is truly a vacation from your Med. vacation. Both are great!

5 nights is too short to be worthwhile if you're flying in from the U.S. imo, especially if you don't live on the east coast. I recommend the 10-night if you can afford it. If not, I'd do the 7-night, which will go by faster than it sounds. For this itinerary I'd do a longer cruise before I'd worry about stateroom type. An inside for 10-nights would trump a 7-night in an oceanview or verandah stateroom.

Based on the dates and what our schedule allows, we are going on the 7-night on 6-22 from Rome to Barcelona. It has Rome, Naples, a day at sea, Pisa, Milan, Cannes, Toulon, and Barcelona.
