Okay...I am trying to decide about a Character Breakfast for upcoming trip D 12/8-12/14). I have a PS for Tony's at MK, but would prefer to do the big breakfast the day we are scheduled to 'do' MGM. Does anyone have any input on the Character Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine? We are staying at AKL. Thanks for any help!!
I've dined at the Hollywood and Vine as part of the Fantasmic Dinner deal but not as a character breakfast so I cant comment on that but the I've found the H&V a quick and easy-going restaurant and we've always had great service there too!
Some suggestions, if I may, since you are at the AKL, have you thought about the Donald Duck breakfast at Restaurantosaurus. We've always enjoyed starting our AK days here and is now a firm tradition of ours.
You havent described your party, so I will suggest maybe an early PS at Princesses breakfast at EPCOT and then catching the boat over to MGM! Or Cape May Cafe Beach Blast Breakfast with Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale at the Beach Club which is close by!
We did the character lunch one time at Holllywood and Vine and that was the last time. The characters stayed in the front of the rest, the food not that great.
You would do better to go to another character breasfast then go to MGM . The BC cape may galley has a very good one the charaters move around and visit often plus the food great. Hope what ever you pick will be a special one.
We absolutely love H&V for breakfast. The food was hot and well prepared and the characters were fantastic. Goofy is in this wonderful gangster style suit. And Minnie, stays at the front in a beautiful evening gown. Goofy spent a long time with our daughter, as did Chip & Dale, and Pluto. During our breakfast, Goofy and Minnie did a swing style dance and invited the children to dance with them. We couldn't find anything that could have been done any better.
Here's a photo from our visit:
We had the exact opposite experience of J&J. We did the lunch at H&V and we had a great time. The food was great, and all the characters were wonderful!! The interaction was great. They paid so much attention to us, and we didnt even have kids!
Last Christmas we took our first family trip to WDW and H&V was the first Character Meal we had. Good food and lots of interaction from the characters. You actually will be there before the Christmas crowds so you should have lots of time with the characters in slower restaurants. We probably did half a dozen character meals that visit and have more pictures from H&V than any of the others. Chip and Dale made several trips by and never rushed off - ENJOY.
You may want to try the Character Breakfast at the Animal Kingdom as Donald and the other characters are dressed in Christmas garb - but I have found they rush the characters around quite a bit. Have fun!
