Hi, I have a friend that is going to WDW for the first time with her family in a couple of weeks. Her DD has Celiac's Disease...where and what can she eat? Can they call ahead for CS & TS accomodations? I told her I would go to the DIS and try to help her find out what they can do about food for her. You guys know everything!! If they can not find food for her can she bring a cooler into the park with her special foods? Would love and appreciate any help on this, Thanks Becky:)

Post your question over on the DISabilities! board -- you'll get plenty of celiac/gluten-free recommendations over there.....

Most table-service restaurants will ask you if you have special dietary requirements like gluten-free, etc. If you have ADRs, you can call ahead and ask to speak with the chef and they always seem to have something they can do for you.

Others will have suggestions for you over at the DISabilities board!

Hi, my sis has celiac too. I have read some great stories on allears.net about special dietary needs i.e. celiac spru. I always forward them on to her. Check it out, it has stories from people and their experiences at the restaurants in the park. Mostly great, I might add!

Good luck!

Hi I am going to WDW in August and 2 of my DD have celiac. I told them when I made the reservations and they put it into the computer to notify the chefs. They also gave me the phone numbers of the dieticians at each park. DEfinitely have your friend email Brenda Bennett at disney at: Brenda.Bennett@disney.com She has been so helpful. She will email lists of gluten free foods at every park including CS, TS and even snacks. Everyone has been very helpful and it is going to be great not to have to worry about that!

Go to the "disABILTIES!" forum. There are lots of discussions and advice there concerning this topic.

Thanks everyone!! Am going to the other board to check it out!:)
