If you want convenient to the beach, then several of the Florida panhandle state parks fit that bill although I have found them very hard to reserve/get into.
I posted a note on your Dauphin Island Campground post to answer that.
We are fans of Gulf State Park and camp there 2-3 times a year with our pop-up. There is a beach highway seperating the beach from the campground area and the walk from the nearest end of the campground to the beach highway is about 150 yards along a lightly traveled 2-lane road. The beach nearest the campground has a small 10-15 car parking area, no bathrooms or water fountains, and is in a natural state. Just a boardwalk across the dunes. Oh, there is a bike rack. So you can walk, bike, or drive to this spot and it is free.
The state park has a large pavilion about 0.75 miles down the beach that you can drive or bike to with bathrooms, concessions, changing rooms, picnic areas, and drinking fountains if you are looking for more creature comforts. It is a nominal fee to use for people camping at the campground.
GSP is big (500 sites) but one that is easy to get into. It only fills up around major summer holidays (Memorial, July 4, Labor Day). It is laid out mostly north-to-south and the southern most end (closest to the beach) has the fewest sites (a long cul-de-sac with pull through sites). Also this culdesac is along a canal where I've seen gators so don't leave little Fido outside at night. All of GSP has full hookups.
Good luck!
