Hey all...we are regulars at WDW, but this is the first trip to DL. First of all I'm stressing because I am sending my 9 yr old and my husband. My husband has no clue what to do on vacation because I always have everything planned and he just has to show up and follow me around like a puppy. ;)
I think they should be okay since they are getting in late tomorrow and leaving on Tuesday. They'll really only have 2 days in the park. Anyway, my main question is how do they get from Long Beach Airport to the Tropicana? Are there shuttles waiting at the airport to take people places or do I need to call someone and make a reservation? I don't want them to pay an arm and a leg if they don't need to and it has to be simple since hubby is in charge. I just hope they don't end up in Mexico :scared1: Any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated!! TIA :goodvibes

After they collect their luggage from the outside carousel, they just need to walk across the street to the area next to the car rental buildings. There is always a fleet of shuttle drivers waiting. Tell them you want to go to the Tropicana hotel on Harbor Boulevard and they will take you there no problem. They usually charge 20 dollars per person for the trip, but sometimes you can haggle on the price. Or you can go to supershuttle.com and schedule a trip with them.

And make sure you tell "hubby" to bring me my Mickey's Kitchen nametag, or else he's a dead man. That or I will keep the GE Horizons nametag for myself.

:thumbsup2

I can't help with the airport issue, but tell your DH to make sure to get up *early* Apparently, it's spring break & the crowds are larger than average. So, at the security checkpoint an hour or so before park opening...

We used Discount Shuttle when we flew there in Nov. We were recommended by someone here on the boards to a guy named Ron but he couldn't do it so he passed us on to a friend of his. The guys name is Long and you can reach him at 562-607-6318. He charged us $50 each way and we stayed at the HoJo. He was nice and friendly and very prompt. We had no problems with him and would use him again in a heartbeat. Hope that helps!!

You aren't helping...shouldn't you be sleeping anyway?????

nah.. i am going to stay up all day and sleep tonite..we leave early tomorrow. So if "hubby" gets lost and ends up in Mexico, have him call me. :lmao:

A taxi is $40 flat rate from Long Beach. Have them confirm it with the driver before getting in. (I just had a friend be charged $60, because she didn't know)
