Need help about gate checking jogging stroller!!

Has anyone ever gate checked a jogging stroller??? Specfically a Baby Jogger City Elite. We are leaving in 2 weeks and are wanting to gate check our Jogger to have when we get there. We are using the Magical Express so don't want to be without it our first afternoon/evening. Anyone know if it will fit through the security x-ray machines??

If it doesn't fit through the machines, there is no need to worry. The agents take it and hand check it. Happens all the time with my Graco Duo Quattro.

The key thing you have to remember is to allot a little more time for security. It takes them a bit to do the check and you will have all of your kids and stuff to manhandle until then. The most challenging time for me was flying by myself to Phoenix with 2 kids under age 3. They didn't know to turn the stroller whells up to make it fit, so they took it off to manually check it. The girls were squirmy and running. Another female passenger behind me helped me wrangle them until they gave me the stroller back. Almost didn't make that flight!!!

I gate checked two Baby Jogger City Series strollers every trip for the last 2 years and they fit through the machines at some airports and are handchecked at others. I believe they fit through the machines in Orlando. Either way it will only take a few minutes for them to handcheck them. (Don't forget to take anything prohibited out of the rear pocket too. (Won't mention who ALWAYS forgets to check the pockets but it ryhmes with ME )
