Need help - 1st time car rental/ME etc questions

Ok, hubby and I decided to take a kind of spur of the moment trip down over his birthday weekend. We are flying to WDW for the first time because we have always driven.

So we are in need of a rental car. We were thinking of picking it up at the Dolphin or Car Care center because it'll be a bit cheaper than picking it up at the Airport.

However, how will we get to either of these places if we take ME to our resort (SSR) and once we drop off the car, how will we get back to the airport? Our flight leaves pretty early on departure day, around 8am so I know we'll have to be to the airport around 630am.

If anyone can give us any help at all it would be most appreciative!!

First have you priced the cars at CCC. They are running about $100-$150 more than the airport. I know I know usually offsite is cheaper but in this case it not. So look for rates at the airport. Surf the Transportation thread for discount codes. I am renting for a week in Sept at the airport and got a rate of $148 verses $235 at Disney!

I was just going to post that the rates are higher at CCC or the Dolphin. Every once in awhile, the rates are competitive, so keep checking.

They will pick you up to get the car and they'll bring you back to your resort. Just schedule ME both to and from the resort. Return the car early enough in the day to catch your bus!
