Need Great Deal on a new bed!

hey all,

I'm in need of a new bed. My kids have foam-like mattresses (not Tempurpedic brand or anything) and I sleep like a baby on them compared to a traditional mattress.

Would like your recommendations for getting a great deal on a foam type mattress and your thoughts on them.

Thanks so much - DH is willing to make this a priority since I barely sleep and when I do, I wake up hurting everywhere. I just don't want it to be so expensive that he makes me "reconsider" our Sept disney trip!

Almost any mattress store... will wheel and deal... so go in and see what they say. I have never paid sticker price on a mattress. I have always gotten them down lower than the sale price... LOL

We got ours, Novaform Elite from Costco, king size, we paid about 700 about 5 or 4 years ago. We LOVE it. DS is looking into getting one. My bff got one and she and her DH love theirs too.

I highly recommend looking into 100% latex mattresses. This website has some good information:

Most of the people in the forums are looking at latex. We've been shopping and I'm going to go look at the ones from SleepEZ since their factory is nearby.

My dh did hours of research - we wanted a Tempurpedic type bed w/ out the Tempurpedic price, we ended up ordering from selectfoam.com - we've had it for a year now, it is pure heaven! It comes shipped to your door.

I have about a 2" latex foam topper on my (very firm) bed, and it makes it SO comfortable. I didn't want memory foam, because you sink into it. Latex is more bouyant.
