Am going to DL for 2 days then want to stay somewhere around LA area (not necessarily downtown) for 3 nights. What would be an area that has great 3* priceline hotels and is still within an hour of LA area for me, DH and DD-7. It doesn't need to be near any attractions and we have a car. Thanks

I've never used Priceline, but we usually stay at the Westin near LAX for convenience. We can usually get it for about $99 per night.

go to biddingfortravel.com and they can help with your priceline bids. READ,READ,READ, everything before you ask or post because they can be a little snippy if you ask something that is already posted, but the information they provide is great. I would never use priceline with out checking them out first.

Thanks for the info. I have checked out biddingfortravel many times (and you're right about being snippy if you ask something that's on the FAQ's site). I know how to bid, I just wanted to know of an area that's nice around LA, but not in downtown, that I could bid for. I don't know the Souther CA area at all, and thought that some residents might be able to give me advice on specific cities to look at.

Do you want to stay close to the LA/Hollywood area or just Southern California? I think that the Costa Mesa area in Orange County is very nice.
