Hi everyone! All of the Disney hotels are sold out for the dates we will be in Anaheim. What would you suggest as an alternative. We are two adults (one is an AP Holder) and we have a car. I have reservations at the Hyatt Regency in Garden Grove. Is there anything that is as nice or better closer to Disneyland? Thanks in advance!

Hi. The Hyatt is very nice but the Marriott is even nicer imo and much closer (walkable or take Toy Story bus.) The parking fee is $24 both places. For both location and overall quality we would pick the Marriott every time.

We usually stay at the Fairfield, but the Marriott Suites in Garden Grove is $100 a night less...$79 vs $179...through Last Minute Travel. We'll use the savings to help pay for our 2 day hoppers.

We'll probably walk in the mornings, and if neccessary cab or ART in the evenings. The senior citizen rate on ART is pretty cheap.

We also want to be near a different group of restaurants...Outback, Joe's Crab Shack, etc.

ETA...will also be walking by Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles.

Hi again OP. Since your only criteria above was nicer and closer than the Hyatt, if these are really your only criteria, then the Anaheim Marriott is the only hotel that will fit the bill. The Anaheim Hilton is close to as nice so you might want to consider that also. But the rest of the properties being mentioned will be disappointing to you if you are looking to stay in a 4 star property like you are already booked into. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

We usually stay at the Hyatt Regency Orange. Starbucks in the lobby. Dedicated hotel shuttle every 1/2 hour to the park. Good restaurants inside the hotel. Each time I go, they wave the shuttle fee for me. Really not that much further than the Marriott. I would check to see if the Marriott shuttle picks up at other hotels, might add to the ride time.

How do you get them to waive the shuttle fee? We are staying there next month and are having a hard time swallowing the parking fees (for both the hotel and then the parks). We are thinking of foregoing a rental car and just taking the DL Express from the airport and then taking the shuttle. We have 2 littles so walking isn't an option either.
