Hi there ;)

My Mom and I are giving my niece a cruise on Disney next year ... She's graduating HS and that's her gift from us.

We already put down the deposit ( we are traveling May'12) and would love any ideas or suggestions on how to give the gift to her.

I was thinking a cruise jar maybe with some embelishments -- maybe a Disney Visa debit card or something inside with a coupon voucher for the cruise.

Any ideas/suggestions for me? :)
I'm crafty but can't seem to grasp what I should do to make a fun gift...

Thanks!!!!
:thumbsup2:hippie:

See if you can find the Barbie Dreamboat at a garage sale, or goodwill store.

Give her the boat and when she opens it, cruise tickets inside.

Should have added she's going to be 19 LOL :)

Don't know if Barbie would cut it! hehehe... My daughter would have loved the dreamboat idea, as she's 8. I love the idea, but don't think that'll work :)

That is the point, its not about the Dreamboat. Its about the tickets inside. The Dreamboat is like the wrapping paper. And then after, she can give it to your DD8

Can you make a scrapbook of her from birth, like each year do a different page & on the last page put in Disney paper or something like that.

What if you wrap up a bunch of things as clues & have each one numbered to open in a certain order.

One box could be "Lets take a cruize" & put in a matchbox car.

Another box could be swedish fish because there are fish in the water.

Another box could be sand or seashells.

Another box could be a new pair of flip flops.

Add some disney cards to a box.

Or

Give her 6 boxes, well 7.

Have each box have something in it with the a certain letter in the word DISNEY.

In the D box but in dunkin donuts or donuts or something with a D.

The I box can have ice...OK that will melt. Ice cream cones won't though, etc..

Or each letter can have something that has to do with Disney or the cruise. Like the s can be sun screen. The d can be eek..I don't know.

The final box can have a copy of the gift/tickets.

Was thinking a basket filled with stuff --- Mickey Mouse embellishments, photo album, signature book, etc, etc... all wrapped up, also included was a coupon for a Disney Cruise May 2012, or have the itinerary on it, etc...

She's my step-niece, so, things from birth might be a problem, but great idea.

I think I might take a run to the craft store and find a bucket with some nice paper, embellishments and the photo album...

I honestly, don't want to spend that much as the cruise is costing enough already... sounds mean, I know ;)

I love the flipflop idea too... could get some Mickey Ribbon and tie them on there... ;) i love that idea!
