My son will turn 2 next week at Disney. We are having a little family party for him tomorrow. We will be driving to WDW(9 hours),So I'd like to get him something for the ride down. What inexpensive thing could I get him to do in the car to keep him busy? We have a portable DVD player, and he has a magnadoodle already, so I'm kinda drawing a blank! Any suggestions?

My DD2 LOVES the "look and find" books! The board book ones are perfect for that age, and they come in Sesame Street, Dora, and Disney themes. Colorwonder markers and stickers have always been big hits on road trips with my girls, too. And you can't go wrong with a new DVD, and maybe a backpack so he can carry his own stuff like a "big kid."

Oh, and maybe a new Disney sippy cup and Snack Trap.

Here are some more ideas -- I am assuming you have a lap desk:

* play doh
* print out coloring pages from various on-line sites
* colorforms
* lacing cards/beads
* hot wheels
* second the idea for color wonder markers
* bag of small dinosaurs (also great for making footprints in play doh)

Have a great trip!
