Need gift basket ideas for teens

When DD's band did a fund-raiser the baskets with a variety of chocolate were by far the most popular.

Kids in my district attend certain types of fundrasier events. Like a Battle of the Bands concert, for example. Not so much a basket bingo.

Based on op's description, it sounds like maybe both adults and teens would attend. I've been to similar functions that are publicized in the community where students, parents, grandparents, faculty and the general public all come to support the cause. Typically the items to be raffled are donated by local businesses or organizations, so most of the proceeds are profit. Also, raffle tickets are sold for as little as $1 and then you choose the item/basket for which you want to be in the drawing.

I think gift baskets with things and a small gift card work well.
Like movie candy and a gift card for ticket
Candy/treats and starbucks
earbuds and itunes gift card

Is this a neighborhood where teens drive and own their own cars? (if they just drive mom's bmw this won't work)
car cleaning supplies and air freshners

beach stuff...towel, frisbee, chapstick

sports stuff...football or basketball, water bottle

Just a few of ideas off of the top of my head...

You could do a game night basket and pick up some of the more "modern" board/card games like Quixx, Carcassonne, Quirkle, Blokus, Forbidden Island, Ticket to Ride, or Bohnanza along with some card games like No Thanks!, Monopoly Duel, Sushi Go, Guillotine, Exploding Kittens, etc.

A craft/journaling basket (likely more geared to girls). My high school, now college-aged daughter loves doing Smashbooks. "Adult" colouring books are also currently all the rage. You could add coloured pens and pencils, stickers, etc.

You can also do a colour-themed basket...perhaps in your school's colours where everything in the basket (while potentially unrelated), is in those colours. Think of a main item or two and then shop for snacks or other items in packaging that fits your colour scheme. For example, a basket with a yellow theme might include items like Bananagrams, a notebook with a bright yellow happy face on it, some Butterfinger chocolate bars, etc. (I apologize...these aren't very inspired ideas, simply examples.)

And finally, you can do a fun and games basket with things like a Rubik's cube (or similar puzzler), Thinking Putty, some quality snack items, card games (see above), puzzle books (Pocket Posh has some good ones), and any number of similar type items like what they sell at Marbles: The Brain Store.

Good luck with your raffle!

We had a comic themed basket (with comics, DVDs, an action figure, and shirt) and some of the dads were the ones that really got into that one.

What about a pamper yourself basket? That could appeal to the moms and the teen girls. At our auctions the baskets that include priceless experiences like getting to reserve the best seats for graduation or student concerts, dinner cooked by someone special like a teacher do the best. Are there any special privileges like those or parking in the better teacher spot for a month you could auction off? What about band conductor for a day? Could the students offer up a special performance for a private party or something like that? What about band version of a singing telegram? I was in charge of organizing auctions for our son's school one year and we were always trying to come up with creative ideas like that that were free.

How about travel themed stuff? It's a long flight, how about one of those travel neck pillows? Some small containers under 3 oz to carry liquids onto the plane? Maybe a travel book of the places they'll visit? Maybe a Japanese-English dictionary?

So many great ideas but I think this is the one I am going to do. Perfect. 14 hour flight, travel containers, tokyo book. Thanks!
