Need for ADR's in February?

We're planning a trip for six (DF, DM, me, DW, DD and DD) in Feb 08.

This is our first trip with the kids (and first since 2000) so much has changed since we were last there. How important are ADR's in February? If we do need them, how far in advance do you recommend making them?

The girls will be 2 1/2 and 5 1/2 at the time, so they'll get plenty of waiting in lines while touring the parks and we'd prefer not to have to wait long. On the other hand, if we have to eat earlier (5:00ish) to avoid waits, that's not a bad trade off either.

Just wondering what to expect in February. Thanks in advance.

Yes! Why take a chance of not getting in where you want, when you want? make them 180 days out.

If you want to be sure of Chef Mickey's or the Crystal Palace or something, by all means, make an ADR. ADRs are never a bad idea, I don't think.

But if you just want to be able to eat somewhere and don't much care where you eat, you can get away without them. I do, anyway. I rarely ever know I'm going two weeks before I go, much less 180 days and have yet to starve at WDW.

I am going in Feb. ( and have for the last 4 years) I'm making my ADR's on the 6th. I would advise making ADR's - that way you are more likely to get your rest. of choice at the time you want. If you want to see all the restaurants and menus you can find them on allears, but as another poster said, if you want character meals for your little one's - I'd def. make ADR's!!!!

Because I don't really know yet where I want or when I want and would like to keep some flexibility in our plans particularly if I can do so with little worry that I won't be able to make reservations later.

I would recommend getting ADR's....for the simple fact that you said you don't want to wait long. If you don't make any ADR's, you run the risk of having to wait a while to be seated...or not getting in at all.

I would definitely recommend ADRs for Feb. Our last 2 trips were Feb 2007 and May 2006 and we found Feb to be more crowded than May. We had ADRs and still waited for tables at a few places. Specifically Coral Reef - we waited probably 20 min but walk ups were waiting at least an hour (there were people sitting and lying all over the floor in the waiting area) and Ohana.
