We are cruising out on the Magic next Monday and we had our last pretrip planning meeting with the other family we are traveling with Saturday and decided that Universal has priced us out of the one day park trip we had considered for Easter Sunday. Tickets for the six of us would have been over $600 for just one day, at one park. Because we decided that it just wasn't worth it, especially on a possibly insanely crowded day like Easter, we are just going to spend the day lounging by the pool, etc. BUT, that means we are now making other plans and I need help. We will be stopping at Publix when we get in Saturday afternoon and picking up breakfast foods (bagels, etc) and lunch foods (do they do good premade subs?), but we need to figure out where to eat dinner on Sunday.

Can anyone suggest a place to eat that isn't at a park or DTD, closer to I-drive, that isn't a typical chain place like Chili's or something, but isn't to fancy. There is a Benihana's close by, but I've never eaten there. Didn't know if it was worth the prices I was seeing online. Also thought about Maggiano's, but wasn't sure if they are worth the price either. :confused3

Also, can anyone remember the name of the little breakfast place the team has talked about on the show before? Isn't it a close enough distance to the port that you can go there for breakfast, stop at the welcome center and then head to port?

Maggiano's is good & worth the price IMO. Plus, portions tend to be larger so it's a good place to share plates to save some money.

If you go to Crossroads across from DTD exit there are a few places we really enjoy: Noodles and company just opened and we loved it when we visited Indianapolis last year so we can't wait to try again, Moes for Mexican food, and sweet tomatoes for a salad bar experience.

Otherwise, Kobe japanese steakhouse is awesome but expensive. I don't remember the name of the place they talk about in Cape canaveral but isn't it in the same plaza as the Dis office?

I have a Maggiano's near my home and absolutely love it. The food is fantastic. They also have a permanent special: if you buy one of their baked dishes, you get one to take home for free.

Thanks everyone! Maggiano's it is! Made a reservation and bought gift cards since it was 4x fuel points!
