Need feedback on the Wave dinner

I just decided to dump Kona dinner (we really just like the wings and you can get them at the Tambu Lounge) for the Wave dinner (Woody & Bo Peep did a great review) and I was wondering what you guys thought of it....give me good bad and ugly, pics would be great too!

We really enjoyed both - but the kids liked Kona better.

FYI, the wings at Tambu Lounge are the same as 'Ohana's wings, which are NOT the same as Kona's Wings. They are VERY different. Kona's are a lot better, IMO. If you really like the wings at Kona, why not just go for apps and desserts?

I would NEVER dream of skipping Kona. I fantasize about those wings...

Since when? Did they change it recently? We went a few times over the last year and they have always been the Kona wings, not the Ohana ones......DH will be soooo bummed if they changed it

We really enjoyed the Wave for dinner. It was hubby, myself and our grand daughter (age 5), right before MNSSHP one night. They were very busy, they hadn't been open very long. They hostess staff was very confused on who to sit, in order of check in ( lets just say people who checked in an hour after we did were seated well before us and I was ticked). Yes, we waited a long time. The waitresses were complaining in the lounge area, lol, they were not prepared for the crowd of walk ins...had no idea MNNSHP was going on..I thought how poor is the management, that they had no clue this was going on. Sometimes I think I need to go back to work for Disney, lol...they need serious help in the management department.

But, there is a new manager, we met him about a month later, and I let him know my thoughts.

Food and service once inside the restaurant was very good.

We had also spent a night in the lounge with two other couples prior to that dinner, the service was excellent and the apps were wonderful.

We would love to go back again.

The Wave was by far our best meal on our anniversary trip in October. The food was delicious. It was a very LONG meal, it took forever for dessert and our check but the food was great!
