OK, I'm a first time poster, and already I'm messing up:confused3 . I thought I posted this hours ago only to check back to hopefully find some answers and never found the thread.................so I'll try it again. Sorry if this is repetitive .
I am planning my first family visit to WDW, 2 adults and two young children (5 & 8). I want to avoid crowds and am willing to take the kids out of school. So I'm shooting at next winter, specifically late Jan.2009. However, MLK Day is Mon jan 19th, the Superbowl is in Tampa Sunday Feb 1:cheer2: I think it would be wise to avoid these. Does anyone have an opinion about visiting between these two big events? I plan on spending at least a week. Is it doable without running into larger than usual crowds. Thanks for your input

NO apology needed...these boards can be confusing at first! To find your original post click on User CP upper left corner and then click on subscribed threads and it will show you your threads or ones that you have posted to.

January also is host to the WDW marathon which makes it a busier time of year. I would aim for after MLK but before Super Bowl for sure. If January doesn't work out, then end of February was great when we went. Nice weather and low crowds.

Yes, I agree try between MLK day and the Super Bowl, or late February. If you end up going late February, just avoid President's Day week.
Welcome to the boards!
