A discount broker shouldnt give you enough of a savings to cover buying one day base tickets with your plan then ordering length of stay tickets elsewhwere.
Cant you book the entire backage through expedia? If you book through anyone(I dont know if there are any exceptions) but Disney, Disney cant (or wont) access the reservation to make changes.
The Dining Plan is a package add on not something sold separately like tickets or rooms or shows. You can either find all the discounts and order alacarte (paying for meals as you go) or you can pay a little more for the package and get the little bonuses (and hassles) that come along with it. Mostly you can not get Dining if you have had any discounts. Booking through
AAA not Disney you can get their discount on the room portion of a package. And sometimes Packages are offered at special rates (Like
free dining, free ticket upgrades, or even according to mousesavers.com the Room only discounts offered for Sept.'ish vacations are able to be applied to packages and therefore to add dining to).
