need driving directions

We are spending two days in Kissimmee, at Comfortsuites near Old Town and then we are driving to Melbourne beach. MapQuest gave me some directions that don't sound like the most direct route. Can anyone give me directions to Melbourne beach? Also we will be driving there on June 9th and from what I've been reading there will be alot going on with the space shuttle launch that week, should I expect bad traffic or is Melbourne far enough away from it all?

When we drove to Melbourne we just traveled 192 east. It goes right into Melbourne. Actually very easy. Once there you would need specifics. Hope that was some help.

Yes Thanks! When I look at the map that's what looks the easiest but mapquest will send you in all sorts of crazy directions. Thanks for the info!

all the internet system (not to mention AAA too) want you to use the Inter-state system and in Florida that means toll roads.

US 192 is fine - slower - it has traffic lights - but much easier to follow.
