Well, after planning to drive for the last 6 months, we are suddenly flying (thanks to a great deal from Southwest) and my blonde head just put it together that I can't bring distilled water on board the plane with me for my breathing machine. Do they sell distilled water at Coronado Springs?

My other option would be do get it delivered from garden grocer I guess.

You can pack the water in a checked bag. I usually pack a case of water in a cooler and never have any problems.

I use plain tap water in my machine. The only reason they tell you to use distilled is that mineral deposits can build up with tap water, but if you clean the container regularly you won't have that problem.

thanks for the replies. I guess I will try to figure out how much I will need and pack it in my checked luggage.

You may also find you don't need your humidifier in Florida. I read that on a thread somewhere so didn't take mine last time and actually slept better with the Cpap alone. The CPap without the humidifier doesn't require water.

The other thing I noticed on my last air trip was that the signs before you go thru security say CPAP machines have to removed from their case and presented to the Xray machine separately - like a computer. That mqy not be new, but I don´t recall seeing the signs before, so thought I would give a heads up.

Would it be best to pack the bi-pap in your check in luggage? Or best to take along on carry-on?
Im a little worried about checking it in just in case it were to get lost?
We use distilled water in our daughters but Im wondering if bottled spring would be ok to use when we get there, a little easier get.

Do not pack medical equipment in your checked luggage unless you can exist without it if it gets lost.

And medical equipment is exempt from carry-on baggage limitations.
