Need Disney ServersAdvice

In February I will be traveling with my kids band to WDW... most of the 10 chaperones have never been to Disney so I am kind of being the travel agent I have made several dining reservations for 6 of us. So here is my concern. I have the DDE card. I know that the 18 % tip will be added and the 20% taken off... fine with all that.... here is the problem. As part of the "package" for each chaperone could purchase $25 dining cards thru the youth services program. There will be three of us using these cards and three not using them.... what is the best way to handle this? I know that the easiest thing woul dbe to have separate checks and let them all fend for themselves but I would like to let them use my DDE 20% off.... appreciate your suggestions

I will be very surprised if you could have separate checks on the DDE. That is a rarity indeed.
Since you want whomever to be on the DDE, just figure out who owes what and have them hand over to you whatever payment they wish to use, whether it be cash or a $25 gift card.
I don't recall the exact number that can be used on a DDE. At one time it was 10. Seems like it is 8 now. However do not know for certain. And I have read here where some say the number of guests was over that.
Just something to check in further for an be prepared just in case.

Whether or not you will be allowed to split the check and use the DDE card for all checks is at the discretion of the manager on duty. Servers need a manager (or GT, a general teller) to process these transactions, so it is out of the servers' hands.

You can use multiple gift cards on the same check. So yes, as reply above says, keep everyone together, present the server with your DDE card first, then all of your $25 gift cards and a credit card to cover the remaining balance (or cash). Just bring some patience, as this may take a few minutes to process, especially if the restaurant is busy. Happy dining!

Oh yeh, I am not aware of a cap on how many guests can be used for one DDE card. It has never been an issue that I have encountered. As long as it is on one check, you should be fine.

Thanks for the reply.... my guess is that each place we are eating will cost at least the $25 on the card... we have dinner at Coral Reef, Crystal Palace and Mama Melrose. So with tax and tip I think each person will owe just a bit more than the $25.....I just feel bad making it so much work for the server!!!
