I'm trying to decide if we should upgrade our tickets to WP&M option. We are going in November - are the waterparks out of the ? too cold?

My main ? is: I have a DS (6 1/2 at the time of travel) and is getting into the video games. Actually he loves his PS2 & Gameboy. He is 46 inches tall right now with no shoes. Will he enjoy DQ? Are there games for him?

The whole reason I would upgrade to WP&M option would be for DS & DH to enjoy some gaming.

It this going to be worth it or not?

Thanks for any info any one could give!!

Will the water parks be too cold? Depends where you're from. We're from snow country, so we were at Blizzard Beach for EMH in Feb while the lifeguards had winter coats on. I'd go in Nov, but don't know where you're located. Try checking out historic/average temps for Orlando in Nov and seeing what you think.

As for a 6 1/2 boy at Disney Quest? Every kid is different, but my DD loved it at that age. (She liked it a lot more than I did, but that's another thread, lol.) You could always get a 1-day discounted ticket to try it out if you don't want to go for the full WP&M option.

My DH took my DD (7), who was 6 at the time to Disney Quest and they spent hours there. Later on that night she brought me back for more fun. We rode on the river rapids as well as other fun things, but it was the Alladin's Magic carpet ride that did me in - literally....when they say if you are subject to motion sickness they AREN'T kidding.

We've upgraded our tickets this year and I'm bringing the dramamine!! :cool1:

We do the water parks in October and its awesome heard its not alot of difference in November. We do the water parks then put on a coat when we get home. As for Disney quest I think your child would have a blast we always taken our daughter who is now 10 and she has always loved it. They have something for everyone. I tell you I hadn't done the arcade thing in over 15 years and rarely touch the game cube and x-box but I literally lost track of time in there. I found all kinds of fascinating games and I also found out my daughter think I was around with the dinosaur when I went OOOHHH I haven't since this game or that game in years and she goes oh what's that. Mom that is so lame.Because they do have the old atari games and things that in the 80's were challenging. So there is something for everyone.....I definately recommend. :thumbsup2

I think I'm going to upgrade!! If we think we could handle the WParks then we'll try it. If not, the cost of the upgrade is not much more than buying the DQ discounted tickets. $50 extra to have the option can't hurt especially if we have some rainy days and can go to DQ again.

Thanks for the reassurance!! This is our first trip so I really need true advice rather than just reading all the general advice given in the books!!

My DH and DD15 love DQ. We heard rumors that it will be closing late next year/early 2008 and DH's very disappointed.

We have this planned for our itinerary in Dec. I've never been there as usually I'm shopping at DTD :teeth: .

I'm not sure on the WP's, but am hoping we'll have a few warm days. I've never been to TL and would like to try out Crusher-Grusher water ride...it looks awesome :woohoo:
