Help! We got engaged at the Magic Kingdom this past November and since I'm a huge Disney fan I wanted to incorporate Disney into the wedding. But nothing gawdy, just subtle hints, but just Mickey and Minnie. Ideas for hidden Mickeys would be great too. I need ideas for the ceremony and the reception. I'm running out of creativeness!

Please help!

Probably the easiest place to add a touch is on the cake itself. The have great Mickey/Minnie cake toppers, or for something more subtle (and more Magic Kingdom) you can call and order one of the crystal castles for your cake top. Ours was just over $100, which seems like a lot, but we have it displayed on our fireplace mantle and for a very special piece of crystal it didn't seem so bad.

You can always use mickey confetti on the tables or for your departure. It's always for sale on ebay. I saw a beautiful bouquet on www.yourfairytale.com where the florist incorporated hidden mickeys into the stephanotis. In the middle of the white flowers, small little pearl beads were attached in the form of a hidden mickey. Here's a link to see the bouquet. (Scroll down to the third picture)

Here is an idea that I am going to use....Dh and I are planning to renew our vows some time next year and then when we get home, have a nice reception with family and friends. Something that I am going to make for my centerpieces is this, I haven't tried it yet so don't ream me if you do and it looks funky, at this point I see it all in my mind but we all know things don't always turn out like you expect, so I plan to make mickey head topiaries for my centerpieces, with the round craft green balls and moss, stuck in a little planter of some sort with moss and ivy around, still this is not tested yet, still an idea but to me a good idea and I do hope it works because in my mind it looks really pretty. Hope this helps.

That is really cool idea with the pearl mickey heads in the boquet! I will definitely have to make note of that idea!! Thank you!

Let me know how your idea with the centerpieces go and if they turn out as great as you imagined! What a cool idea also! Thank you!

The cake I've chosen has little rosettes here and then, and I'm hoping to have the bakery put two more small rosettes above some of them to form little mickey ears.

I will admit that I'm probably going well over your "subtle hints" with what I'm planning on doing, but here are some of things I'm incorporating into my wedding:

Mickey and Minnie save the date cards, invitations, place cards, bookmarks for guests at the reception, programs at the church, and cake topper.

Also, to take it a step further, the tables at the reception will be named after Disney movies.

A lot of these ideas came from www.now-and-forever.com

I really like your idea of naming the tables after the Disney movies... characters would be fun too!

I also did mickey & castle & carriage themed soaps. I made them myself and put them out as favors for the guests.
