My DH and I will be visting WDW in FEB. 2004 and are looking for a place to have dinner at on Thurs. FEB. 12th. WE are planning on doing Epcot and MGM that day but being AP holders are open to other parks restrurants also. WE already have plans for Lecellur and we are not fancy food adventous types, My Dh REFUSES to get dressed up on Vacation, not that I'm much of a heels and dress girl so V+A is out. So bring on suggestions please.

how about jiko at AKL or artist point at WL? those are both wonderful and romantic. in the parks, i thought of hollywood brown derby. or california grill at the contemp? all those are theme park chic. i am sure you will get more suggestions, but those are the ones i could think of! happy eating:tongue:

If you are going to be at the Studios, why not eat at 50's Primetime? Can't get much more "down home" than that!

In the studios I can recommend Brown Derby.
At the resorts, there are many choices--JIko, Narcooseee, Califronia grill just to name a few. None requires any sort of dressing up.

Haven't tried Brown Derby yet, but we have friends that did and loved it. Our favorite is Artist Point. I didn't dress up either. Just khaki's and casual top. Same for dh. There were plenty of people there that had on shorts/tee's. Great meal, great service.

Artist Point is one place i'll have to look into futher. 50's prime time is on list to be eaten at another day and is place I suggested for Thurs. When DH told me to get suggestions from DIS. I don't think he wants to be "picked on" twice in one trip LOL.

I agree with Brown Derby if you want to eat at MGM. If you think you'll be at Epcot around dinner you might consider Bistro de Paris.

If you want to go to a resort I would try California Grill because it has such a special setting as well as great food and service. As others have stated Narcoossee's, Jiko, AP, Citricos are other places with great food and service in the resorts. Kona is too but is a very casual setting.

How about boatwrights? this was one place I was thinking about that we may like.

Boatwrights at PORS is very good. Prices are not too expensive.
Narcoossee's at the GF is probably one of the best WDW restaurants. You can go business casual too!

Jiko, Narcoossee's, Teppanyaki, or Kona would be my suggestions if you do not want to get dressed up, but still want a great meal. Also, you could try Flying Fish at Boardwalk, which isnt really out of the way.

To be honest with you, there is no restaurant, except Victoria and Alberts' or Citricos that you will feel underdressed.

We have gone to many restaurants is jeans and t-shirts, or what we wore to the parks that day, and haven't felt out of place at all, so don't limit yourself because of the way that you are dressed. WDW is a theme park, and theme park clothes for dining are perfectly acceptable!
