I'm not a fan of burgers, but otherwise am not a picky eater and will try just about anything. Oh yeah, I much prefer TS restaurants over counter service, but of course will do some CS. I'm also not much of a breakfast eater, but may grab a pastry or something on the run. I'll be at RPR August 29th-Sept 4th. Can someone please suggest 14 restaurants for lunch and dinner that are good? Also how lax is the dress code at Emeril's at City Walk and Tchoup Chop? I don't mind wearing sundresses, but don't really want to dress up that much on vacation and refuse to pack heels. Should I just skip them? Is it possible to find 14 different restaurants that are worth going to? Anyone up to the challenge of listing all 14? lol Thanks!

We love Tchoup Chop and go every trip. Make a ressie online. Their website has a link to their dining ressie website. You can do a "chef's pairing" which is no longer on the menu but something worth requesting. Gives you small portions of what the chef wants to cook and pairs it with a glass of wine.

Bice at PBH is also a nice restaurant. The atmosphere is more business dress but of course there were people in shorts and flip flops. I just wore a skirt, a summer top and my dressy sandals.

I don't think any of the restaurants require high heals. A nice, dressy sandal will do.

Ok, I'm not sure I'll get 14 -- but I will be at RPR with you, Aug. 30 - Sept. 2nd! This is our 6th trip onsite, so I think I have a pretty good handle on the restaurants. I might leave out a favorite or 2 on the boards, but someone else will come along with it!

In IOA:

1. Mythos
2. Confisco Grill
3. Thunder Falls Terrace

In US:

1. Finnegans
2. Mel's Diner
3. Lombards

At CityWalk:

1. Margaritaville
2. Bubba Gump
3. Hard Rock
4. NBA City
5. Whopper Bar (just for the novelty of things you can't get elsewhere)
6. Nascar Grille

At RPR:

1. Islands Dining Room
2. Jake's
3. Bula at the pool (poolside nachos are a very nice diversion!)

At PBH:

1. Sal's

I have not stayed at HRH, and I've never eaten at any of Emeril's restaurants. I have heard good things about the 3 Broomsticks at IOA, but having not experienced it, didn't want to recommend it.

If I had to pick a "must do" -- it would be Mythos in IOA, followed closely by Margaritaville.

And a reminder -- if you have AAA you can get a 10% discount most places -- shops and restaurants. Not at RPR, but in the parks and at CityWalk, even at the food carts in the parks.

Have a fantastic trip!

My favorites are:

At IOA:
1. Thunder Falls Terrace
2. Mythos
3. Comic Strip Cafe

At the Studios:
1. Louie's
2. Finnegan's
3. Mel's

At CityWalk:
1. Margaritaville
2. Hard Rock Cafe
3. NASCAR Sports Grille

I can't help with the resorts since I never stay onsite.

To the lists above I would add the Latin Quarter in City Walk and Tchoup Chop in the RPR. You don't have to dress up...a sun dress will be fine and no high heels are necessary for Tchoup Chop.
Mythos is our favorite and we usually eat there more than once during each stay.

10% AAA discount! Did not know that. Does that include refillable mugs/popcorn?

The Kitchen Restaurant at the HRH is very good, and is open for breakfast/lunch/dinner :)

If you like shrimp and grits, they have it as an appetizer, and I ordered it for my entree---it's A HUGE BOWL! So yummy........

Thanks! Just what I wanted to know! I bought a preferred AP. I know it's good for a discount at most restaurants. Any restaurants that it is not good at?

I've heard Emeril's does not offer any discounts but I haven't been there to confirm.

I don't know if you are looking for dining strictly onsite or if you will be out and about...

If so, I highly recommend:

Bahama Breeze: Never a bad meal, never. Favorite place to eat.

Uno for fun and it's not just for pizza. In fact, I don't order their pizza, the baked stuffed chicken is awesome. Appetizers good too.

McDonald's on Sand Lake just for one time if you have not ever experienced it. Way cool. Not just burgers, it's a Bistro.

Houlihan's has really good food too. We frequent there b/c kids eat free, it's a beautiful setting and their food is really good...Again, I always goes with chicken if/when I eat meat and theirs is really great!

We love Kobe Japanese also. Mainly b/c of their noodles. They are the only Japanese restaurant I have found that serves noodles. They have rice too. Also an option of all veggies for low carbers.

Have fun!
