Hello,

I am staying on the WDW resort property. I would like transportation to Port Canaveral.
We are 4 adults traveling. Looking for something cheaper than the Disney Bus. But if it is too risky or not that much savings then I guess I will book the Disney Bus.

I was thinking about Uber too but unsure. What do you guys think?

With 4 people, you're just about the dividing point for "which is cheaper, DCL/private transportation" point. You'll have to price out the other options (towncar, rental car) to see what costs are.

Rental car is going to be less expensive than DCL transfers, but involves a little more effort on your part. As a party of 3, we've managed to have a one-way rental for as low as ~$50 total for an intermediate size vehicle. You can pick-up a car rental at MCO or onsite at WDW at the Car Care Center, or I believe there are also rental pick-ups available at the Swan/Dolphin and Shades of Green. You would need to be willing to take a little time from your WDW plans to pick-up, and then the drop-off at Port Canaveral is usually fairly easy/quick. But you need to have someone in your party willing to drive.

Enjoy your cruise!

For four adults with luggage you're probably looking at a minivan or at least a full size car so it will be pricier. We have done a one way rental in a van which was about 80 to 100 with taxes and service charges. For 4 people at 140 for the transfers it wouldn't be worth it to me. But you could try a town car service to see what the price is. Just allow at least 90 min to 2 hours from pickup to when you wZnt to get to port. If driving a rental car one person should drop everyone else off with bags st port while driver goes to rental car drop off. It's much faster to get one person on a shuttle van with no luggage than 4 people with luggage. The lines for shuttles tend to be long.
