need creative help please!

ok so were surprising the kids on Christmas afternoon with a scavenger hunt and the prize is a trip to Disneyland

I have a few things set aside for the hunt and I need some help writing clues.


I have some Disney Store cars that have the characters on them, those light up spinny toys that you use at parades, some stampers for the girls for art sets, light up necklaces, Disney crayons, Mickey Mouse playing cards and lanterns (think Tink, or light the way).

Of course I could go and buy some more stuff but this is what I have on hand now.

The end prize is I found Disney characters with backpacks on them and I will put a note in the backpack saying "You won your scavenger hunt! You're going to Disneyland!"


The kids are 6,7 and 10.


Any ideas? Please?

Im just trying to figure out what to say to lead to the next clue, that sort of thing.

We do something like this for our kids' Easter baskets. They loike it so well, DD1 wanted to do it at her birthday party.

I had the clues lead the kids from one "hiding spot" to the next but you can also refernce the item itself if you like.

For example, you could hide the car in the bookshelf as books and cars both take you places (books figuratively, of course )

Books are fun and good for your mind
go look where they are
to see what else you can find
A book can take you to a distant star
but here on earth, you'll need a car

Mostly, however, I think the clues can just relate to where you hide the things. We hid one in the microwave, one in the shower, one in a potted plant, etc. We made sure they were running from one end of the house to the other with each clue, too

They don't have to rhyme of course, I just do mine that way.
