I typed in linksys address the htpp with numbers to try and add a password since we never had one. in the administration section I added the password. a thing popped up saying add in the name and password which I did and then I lost all wifi connections. I do not have the cd anymore for the linksys. I have an old computer hooked up without the wifi right now to get online. I tried to establish a new connection on the laptop but it is not finding the wireless router. Any suggestions, Should I just go buy another wireless router. Son will need computer in late afternoon to do homework. Help.

There should be a reset button on the router usually on the back by the power button it usually says reset next to it hold it for 5-10 seconds then it should revert to factory settings and work (may need to unplug and replug modem as well)

it didn't work. it has been so long since I established this wifi. if i go and buy a new router, will it automatically create a new connection?
