I have looked through the dining and picture threads but nothing is really jumping out at me and I can't find any online menus for Universal! It will be me, DH, DS8 & DD7. We will eat just about anything. I do have braces though so I really need to eat foods with a fork or something that can be placed in my mouth (like french fries!) - that means, sandwiches are horrible since they aren't usually condusive to a fork (they just split apart), corn on the cob is a no-no, and anything that is easily spooned or cut is a :thumbsup2. DH likes big meals. And the kids are usually ok with kids meals but they like some adult meals too!

Here's the other kicker, we will be there the Friday and Saturday of Memorial Weekend :scared1:

So where should we eat Friday night? We will be staying at Portofino bay with no park tickets.

And for Saturday lunch? We will be at IOA and most likely want a quick meal because we are only spending ONE day at the park!

Thanks!!!

Friday night I would suggest Margaritaville at CityWalk and for a quick lunch at IOA, I would recommend Thunder Falls Terrace or Blondie's.

Can be exspensive but The Hardrock Cafe is good for a sit down meal and with Metro on IOA Thunderfalls :thumbsup2

Margaritaville sounds good! I've seen your recommendation before on Thunder Falls and Blondies but was worried about the food at Thunder Falls (would it be easy to eat with my braces) and Blondies is out because of the sandwiches. I think Thunder Falls should be fine since I can cut up the chicken! Thank you!

I'll have to check out the Hardrock menu, thanks!

allears has universal menus

I sincerely had no idea!!! Thank you!

Oh the joy of braces. I still have "bad" habits from the 3 painful years. I still to this day, 5 years later, tear most all of my food apart before I eat it.

Anyways, for the night you get there if you're wanting to eat on City Walk I would recommend Hard Rock or Margaritaville. Hard Rock has lost its charm for me but the food is usually pretty good and the kids would probably love it. I will let you know though its super loud! Who would have thunk it?

Margaritaville I have never actually eaten at myself but my family loves it! Great atmosphere with great food. There are lots of other places too, (ice cream, burgers, panda express)

If you're looking for something around th hotel PBH also has a little pizza place on site. We never got around to eating it but from the reviews I read and the smelled I smelled it is sure to be amazing!

For the park: If you or your family are Harry Potter fans, and even if you're not I would highly recommend Three Broomsticks. You have to plan for this as it is usually VERY busy. When you get to the park that morning as them when they start serving (I think its 10:30) and get there then or soon after. (We went at 11 in September and got a seat but soon after us it was crowded.) They have great chicken with is so tender it falls off the bone and the turkey leg was pretty good too. Again- so tender you can pick it off.

If that doesn't fit your style I recomment TfT as Metro already said. They have great chicken as well (can you tell its my favorite?) and great atmosphere. Unfortunately other than burger digs those are the only places Ive tried in IOA. Just realized how long this is- sheesh.

Oh I think you'll really enjoy Thunder Falls Terrace. Their chicken is very good as well as the ribs...everything is very good there. And...for a little after lunch entertainment...head over to the splash zone for Jurassic Park River Adventure and watch the people get soaked...in the boat and standing on the sidewalk.

Are we sick because we enjoy watching the unsuspecting getting drenched?:lmao:
On second thought don't answer that.

TFT has delicious chicken, chicken wraps and we sat outside (it was cold out there but colder with the AC inside) and we enjoyed a lunch show.

Chicken wraps and entertainment... what could be more fun.

I enjoy food at most places on Citywalk, some more than others, but we have always had fab meals and service at NBA

Forgot about NBA and your right they do have good food there and DW loves thier steaks :thumbsup2

At the risk of sounding like an echo.........Margaritaville every time for Citywalk. Fantastic food and a great atmosphere, a firm favourite of ours.

Thunder Falls terrace is fantastic...........whether it be the Chicken Wrap, or the chicken and ribs.....we have never been let down in there for food. Just ask them to leave off the corn cob.

We also discovered for the first time last year Confisco Grille. We had a really lovely meal in there, table service but very low key and very inexpensive for what we got.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I do want to try Three Broomsticks - but isn't that a sit-down restaurant? Are they quick? Is there a menu out there? (All ears has nothing on WWOHP).

Thanks everyone!

Another vote for Margaritaville.:thumbsup2 All of the places in Citywalk are good. I like Hard Rock but their prices are starting to turn us off.
