Hello!

I want to make these marshmallows on a stick treats as a holiday gift for my co-workers.

I need a recipe where the chocolate stays solid after it sets, some recipes suggest using melted chocolate frosting or marshmallow creme and chocolate chips, but even though the sticks are refrigerated, once they get to room temperature they get gooey and the chocolate mushes or oozes off when you peel off the Saran Wrap. The commercially made ones stay solid.

I don't need help with toppings, nuts, sprinkles, etc. (yum!) just the coating itself.

Thanks!

Just use almond bark. It's made for dipping things and it will harden up. Also Baker's is making a dipping chocolate that comes in a container to melt it in.

I'll go buy some right now. I'll let you know how they turn out!

Thanks!

i know this is a little late, but i was recently at MK and i saw those so i decided to make them for Christmas. i put the marshmallows individually on a toothpick and dipped them into melted semi sweet chocolate, then froze them. the chocolate was a little hard to work with, so i would recommend the Wilton baking or candy making things that look like flattened out chocolate chips and come in many colors. another batch i made i first melted peanut butter, dipped the marshmalllows in, froze them, and then covered them with chocolate. i recently got as a gift, milk and white chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick. they were purchased at Linens and Things. i don't know if this helps you out or not.

Didn't think of the Wilton items and there's a craft store down the street. The almond bark worked great. I will try Wilton chips for flavor, they have colored ones too I think, nice for Easter and wedding colors.

I think this will be my gift of choice for a while. Very easy to make marshmallow skewers, dipped pretzels, etc. Will try apples soon :)

Thanks!
