Need character dining advice for January 05

I have PS for my familiy - 10 year old boy, 6 year old girl - at the Princess Storybook breakfast in Norway. We are staying at BI. This sounds great for the lil' miss, but what character dining event would be best to book for my boy? Are there any oriented more toward young boys, i.e. villains, etc.? Also, would walking from BI to Norway in the morning be realistic? I understand BI is close to the World Showcase. Advice on these, or any other related topics, would be much appreciated. Walking to Norway from the Boardwalk will be no problem at all. You can take the boat if it happens to be there, but I would just walk. BWI is literally next door to World Showcase.

There aren't really any character meals specifically geared to older boys. Garden Grill does have a character meal and an ice cream social with Mickey and friends and they are dressed up in farmer attire.

Your son may enjoy some of the other World Showcase meals. The restaurant in Japan cooks the food in front of you. The cook is very entertaining, flipping food, etc., and kids seem to like it.

Unfortunately, there are no character meals geared toward boys (hopefully that will change one day) but my sons always enjoyed Garden Grill in Epcot and Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK. As Swilphil said, Garden Grill has a farmer theme with Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Pluto. The theme at Donald's is an archeological digsite, with lots of dinosaur theming. And if your son is a Donald fan, that's the one place you'll be sure to find him, along with Mickey, Pluto and Goofy.

Unfortunately, it was when our son was 10 that he wanted no part of the charactures. None.

Garden Grill is closed in January, so there are no ice cream socials! I tried to book one for us and found out the pavillion is closed until April.

We are going to try out Donald's Breakfastsaurus in AK with our DS (age 9).
