My 10 yr old DS is dyslexic. For the last 3 years, he has been in a program for dyslexic children called MTA (multisensory teaching approach). This means that every day for the last 3 years he has gone to school for an extra hour EVERY school day. He has done extremely well, and in 3 weeks he will have completed the program. He is in the 5th grade and is reading on the 9th grade reading level:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I could go on for a very long time about how proud I am of him. He is really a remarkable kid. I would like to do something that would be really special to celebrate his accomplishment. We live in a small town about 50 miles from Dallas. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks :)

WOW! What a great accomplishment for your son!!!!!

Is he into sports? Could you go to a local sporting event?

Have some friends in for a pizza party

Have a sleepover

I'll keep thinking.

Great job to your son!

I think a road trip is in order. Since Schlitterbaun was rated the best water park in the US on the Travel Channel, I think, if finances allow, an overnight trip could be in order for the family to celebrate his accomplishments.

Tell him how impressed I am of him.
