My partner told me that we are getting a surprise for our anniversary...
A new camera. She said that I NEED to get the camera I want.
I think it should be a good camera that is $500 or less. ( I know she will let me go a little higher... because I am spoiled. LOL She said "Ok"
So please, please help me...
I have 8 sd camera cards... not that that really matters. But if there is an awesome camera out there that I can use them with...
I have had several KODAK easy share cameras and think I am ready for something new.

Do you have any specific requirements? For me, I wanted something small that would fit in my purse and take good pictures in low light (with no flash).

I've mostly shot with Canons, but also had one Panasonic. I'm currently using the Canon S90 and really like it. It is capable of far more than I use it for - I just use the automatic settings. It does not shoot video in HD if that is important to you.

Note that a higher megapixel value doesn't necessarily equate to better quality photos.

I do want a camera that is portable.
I want one that takes nice pics.
I am an amateur but I love taking pics.
