We are heading home from Hilton Head Island (after a wonderful week at Disney!) and need a place to stop on the way to Cincinnati (mostly to watch the USA play their 2pm World Cup game.) Budget friendly and clean are really what matters most. Pigeon Forge and Sevierville are fine too. Has anyone had any positive experiences that they would recommend? $80 or less is the price point I would like to beat.

Thanks!

Hotwire has what is probably the Park Vista (per the Better Bidding website) in Gatlinburg for $79, $95 and change w/ taxes and fees. It is the 3 star in Gatlinburg area.

Cleanest place I have found is Mountain Aire Inn. It's in Pigeon Forge. They do NOT have a website though. Small motel that is family owned and run. It has been every bit as clean as staying onsite at Disney every time we have been. 800-332-5576

We were there over spring break and rented a condo for the week, but driving up and down the parkway, there were lots of places that adverised very reasonable rates for walk-ins. I had looked for weeks and never saw that cheap of a price anywhere except when we got there.

Marshall Creek! Its like $60 per night, one block behind the main strip...walking distance to EVERYTHING including the famous pancake pantry...now, its a tiny room with 2 full size beds....nothing fancy at all...but SOOOOO clean and a mom and pop owned kinda place....its ranked pretty high on trip adivsor, considering its not a big chain....this place is gatlinburgs best kept secret....

Carr's Northside Cottages, always been happy with them. Family owned. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. On the creek with nice seating areas on it. Walking distance or grab the trolley to downtown. Been staying with them for years. There are regular hotel rooms, cottages and larger homes all in one place. Starts at 63.00 a night and most rooms have a fridge and micorwave I think.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn Apple Valley in Sevierville this past January, and were very pleasantly surprised by how nice and spotlessly clean it was. I usually avoid Comfort Inns, but we got a fantastic price and it had rave reviews on Trip Advisor, so we gave it a try. We were very impressed, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, or to recommend it to anyone else. Not sure what summer rates would be, but we only paid $60/night and thought it was a great bargain for the room we had.

We were there in 2005 and stayed at the Edgewater Inn. Nice clean and comfortable. Watch the parking garage below though, very tight.

Your input has been awesome and appreciated. I knew this was the place to turn, thanks for not disappointing! A family member with an abundance of points has stepped in and donated some of their choice hotel points for us to use at the last minute but I can't wait to look into some of the hotels you have mentioned for our next visit. Thank you sincerely!
