We took our 4 year old daughter to Disney World last Oct. and are planning another trip this Oct. We haven't told her yet, but wanted to surprise her with the trip for her 5th birthday. Her birthday is in July so it will still be a few months away. I thought I would tell her that we were going on a vacation and I was trying to think of something to wrap so she would know where we were going. She already has a stuffed Minnie and Mickey, any other ideas??

Does she have one of the little suitcases that they sell at the Disney stores? If not, maybe you could buy her one of these (I think they cost about $30 each) and fill it with some park maps, an autograph book, and disney character stickers. You could also give her some disney dollars. If she is into the princessess/Barbies you could give her one of the Barbie sized princess dolls with a note that that princess looks forward to celebrating her birthday with her in person in October. In general I think that the Dis store has so many little trinkets available that you could use in a little themed basket/bag/box which would help to tie the trip to her birthday present that you can't go wrong. Also, perhaps you could throw in the free planning dvd that you can request from disney. My DD6 loved watching this prior to our recent trip.
