I had ordered a Travelon bag from QVC at the beginning of July, but when I tried to order it sold out. I'm on wait list, but if the item doesn't come back in stock within 45 days they will cancel the order.
Here is a picture of the bag I wanted..

I liked the tan color. QVC currently has pink in stock, but that's it. I'm not a pink kind of gal.

I liked that this bag was small. I've seen other messenger bags, but they look big, and I don't want to lug around a big bag. I wanted a bag I can take on rides with me without having to take it off before I get on the ride. I just need enough space to keep my wallet, sunglasses, cellphone and small things.
I usually take a fanny pack, but there are a few days I will be wearing sundresses, and fanny packs don't look good with sundresses on me.

I found this bag, but I'm not sure if it will be too big. Does anyone have this bag by Travelon?

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can get? What do you use? Thanks!!!

My mom and I go every weekend pretty much and she carries a bag exactly like the one you show there. It is very small and very quick to check in the bag check line (which is good cause I don't carry a bag and get impatient :o ) It's the perfect size to carry her passes wallet and any other small items she may need during the day, i.e. tissues, ibuprofen, band-aids etc.

Go to qvc.com and search for Travelon. I've got a bag similar to that one - it's leather and doesn't have the credit card 'flap' or a mirror, but it's small and holds a lot. This one also comes in black and I think brown. I had bought it JUST for my trip last winter, but I've been using it every day since January!

Thanks for the suggestion!
I went to QVC and ordered a bag in the color chocolate.
I cancelled my waitlist order for the other bag. They looks so similar to each other, and with tax and shipping it cost exactly the same.

Thanks again!! :flower:

I'd go for a backpack or something more hands-free. You won't want to deal with something hanging on your shoulder (and slipping off) all day.

I love my Coach wristlet and skinny mini because I can slip them in my pocket and not deal with them. At the parks, you really don't need much..and we have four kids!

So, if you don't have kids, stick a blister care bandaid, a regular bandaid, and your tickets in a skinny mini type "coinpurse" or wallet keychain combo thing, and leave all the junk at home.

If you do have kids, get a backpack.

We tried the whole "freezing water in a water bottle" thing...and bringing first aid kits, and sunblock, and everything recommended and left it all at home by day three. It was just a hassle.

Now we bring the bare minimum and know we can always buy stuff at the parks if we REALLY need it - but we seldom need more than our park tickets.

I got a Baggallini messenger bag on eBay for my trip and it was amazing. I love it so much I use it as a purse. It has a front pocket on the strap where I put some change and my cellphone in. It holds a lot of stuff, especially for a lightweight bag.

I got mine from the same seller I posted. Great seller and highly recommended.

My husband is carrying a backpack into the park. I was looking for something to carry things I'd need to get to quickly (like my wallet, bandaids, etc.)
We're definately taking a backpack with us, too.

I'm planning to wear my new bag over my shoulder, but across my body so it won't fall off. I usually wear a fanny pack, but with my sundress I wanted something I can use on the days I chose to wear my sundresses.

Thanks for the suggestions!! :flower:

Ah, but this is a messenger-style bag. It hangs over one shoulder and across the chest - so it really won't slip off, plus it's not as awkward as even a small backpack (and it won't accidentally bump someone if you turn suddenly :sunny: )

I am a fanny pack girl but decided to get a small messenger-type bag very similar to the picture above. I just felt that my beloved fanny pack was not going to hold all the things I needed in the park with me in Sept....and I was NOT about to get those super duper fanny packs with the water bottle holders. Yikes!

The across-the-shoulder messenger mini bag is perfect for a sleeker look while still allowing room for all the little things.
