I'm normally on the DCL thread as we're cruising on 2/3. However, we're coming to Orlando on 1/31 for a few days. So I'm checking the 10 day forecast and it looks like it's going to be raining the days we were planning on doing WDW before cruising. Now, I'm okay w/ some showers, but if it's pouring rain, does anyone have suggestions about what to do in Orlando or the surrounding areas? (We're staying offsite and have a rental car)

Thanks!

PS - Send some pixie dust to Orlando for an improved forecast in the next week!

Disneyquest if you like that sort of thing.... Downtown Disney.

Most days they call for "rain" in my experience, it's not usually an all day long pouring kind of rain, it might rain for a bit then stop. Usually we bring along ponchos and go to the parks anyways...there's still an awful lot of indoor things you can do...much of Epcot is indoor oriented for instance.

Don't worry about the weather as usually when the weatherguy claims rain, it usually doesn't!!! But if it does, there are many options.

Premium Outlets are just down 535 and Vineland. Turn left on Vineland and they will be on the right hand side.

AMC theatres are located in Downtown Disney.
DisneyQuest is also in DD.

The LOOP is located at the corner of Osceola Parkway and John Young. There is a Kohls,Sports Authority, Ross, Yankee Candle,Michaels,Kirklands,Regal Movie Theatre,Johnny Rockets restaurant,Chilis, Macaroni Grille,Wendys,Panera Bread, and a bunch more shops in this plaza. Mimi's Cafe and a brand new Logans steakhouse is just across the street in the Ashley Furniture parking lot.

Florida Mall is at the corner of Sand Lake and Orange Blossom Trail. Big mall with more than 135 stores.

If it rains though and you still want to hit the parks, just go with a poncho or umbrella and have fun!

Go ahead and do the parks in the rain, The crowds are much less and you can get inside pretty fast, Buy some cheap rainwear or buy ponchos at the parks.
