Our plan wa to use our 4 day passes Sept 29, 30, Oct 1 and 3 then upgrade to lowest AP (weekday FL resident one) on the Oct 3 entry. That means we will have used the 4 day for a weekend. Allowed?

You are best to make the exchange prior to using all the days and then they will only credit you the cost of any of the unused days. If you dont use any of the ticket they will give you the credit for the whole cost toward the AP

Hmmm. This has never been the way upgrading to an AP worked. You have ALWAYS gotten full value of the ticket towards the AP even if you upgraded on last day. Is this something new?

I don't know about Fl. resident ticket but I upgraded to the big expensive only one you can get if you are out of state AP last week. We had 5 day PHs and I upgraded on day 5. I got credit for the entire cost of the 5 day PH. I bought through a 3rd party vendor and did not pay full price for the ticket but did get credit for full price. They did make it a point (several times) to remind me that the start date was the first day of the trip so the expiration date would be that day and not the date I did the upgrade (I knew that).

That is not correct - the full price is credited.

Yes! Excellent so the only question is whether you can do the upgrade if you’ve used the ticket on blackout dates for the AP you want. Hopefully, we’ll get a report on this soon. The only posts are from people who called and asked a CM which doesn’t give me full confidence in the response.

I have never done that myself but in the past I had seen many reports here of people doing exactly that. Again - it's been at least a year or two since I'd seen any posts but I know there have been many posts about this topic on this board over the years. Whether what happened two years ago is what would happen now . . . who knows. But I recall a number of posts saying yes you can - and don't remember any contradicting it. I remember this because it surprised me that they did allow that as I would have thought it would not be possible. (There were some restrictions that related to passes with waterparks - but as far as weekends or blackout dates - I think you should be good if they haven't changed anything.)

Agreed. I was surprised people were posting that it wasn’t allowed. I’m assuming that info was from CMs who weren’t well-versed in ticketing.

The only restrictions I remember are related to water parks and/or black out dates. If you have a PH with water parks and you used the water parks entitlement, you had to get the super de duper platinum hand over your first born child AP. And you couldn't upgrade ON a black out date.

There have been rumors that it has changed, but I've only seen those around the Sorcerers pass and blockout dates. CM's routinely encouraged people to do exactly what you're asking to do. Until someone tries it, we won't really know for sure.
