We are headed to Florida for our usual 2 week Disney trip. Thanks to Harry Potter, I will be leaving the Disney resorts to visit Universal. DH and the kids want to see the Superheros and Dr. Seuss.

I have read so much on here but I am still a little lost...

Here is my plan...we are going two days within a 7 day period (I got the $99 tix before they ran out). First day will be Superheroes and Dr. Seuss. We usually take a break at Disney but we will be going for the full day at US. I thought we would try to go see HP later in the day because the crowds seem to be less. Day two is up in the air depending on what we get done on day one.

We are not ride people. The kids will ride the kiddie things but nothing else. Want to see the line at the HP ride with Hogwarts but will not ride (Pooh sized so can't ride anyway.)

Help me out here...tell me where to start? What to see? Where to eat? HELP!!!!!!!

At the Studios, you can ride Jimmy Neutron, Jaws, ET, Men In Black, Woody Woodpecker roller coaster, and possibly the Simpsons. Plus there are four or five shows including Shrek. There is a children's play area down past ET as well. At IOA, there are four rides in Suessland. You will be able to do all of those. There is also a kids roller coaster in the Harry Potter area, a kid's ride in Jurassic Park, and a spinning ride like the tea cups in Marvel island. They MAY be able to do Spiderman or the Popeye ride, depending on height and whether you want to get wet/slightly adventurous. If you ride the Simpsons, you can do Spiderman. There are kids play areas in Jurassic Park, Toon Lagoon, and Suessland.

For food, at IOA you should eat at Mythos. At the Studios, Finnegans. If you want to eat at Citywalk, the best places are NBA Cafe and Margaritaville.

Edit: It's not the NBA Cafe. It's NBA something. I'm blanking. I sound like our town car driver for the last trip who kept saying the names of everything incorrectly. He actually called it the NBA Cafe and I knew that was wrong. So I'm not an idiot. I know it's not "Cafe".

It's NBA City..:thumbsup2

I suggest Kelly Monaghan's book, Universal Orlando:2010 -- this will give you descriptions of everything with enough detail to decide what is for you and what to skip, including the various eateries.

His books are entertaining and informative, and will add to the excitement and anticipation for your vacation!
