Need an expert on BWV boardwalk views

Requested Crest o the wave upper floor. Want my toddlers to be able to see on balcony and some of the other areas have balconies that are closed in, not bars like there. I know this will be a long walk from elevators but not worried about that. Assuming there is a stairwell in case we want to walk over to HS we don't have to backtrack.

I did find a hotel floor plan of the studio/1-bedroom/2-bedroom/GV and now I can't find again.

If you can confirm/correct my info please do!

There is a stairway at the end of the hall, next to room x002.

Most of the solid balconies for BW view are second floor. I once requested no second floor for a renter and she got second floor.

xx29s are wonderful views. Right across from the basketball hoops. xx31s are nice too but a little more blocked from the GVs. Also, on those numbers, level twos have huge terraces.

Crest of waves avoids the risk of blocked porches. You should also request high floor particularly because the Crest of Waves area is the only boardwalk view area where there are rooms on the first floor (boardwalk level) and those are not good including because with curtains open, passersby can look right in..

Yes, but like you said you could get the first floor if they think that they've given you one request out of the two. Plus, some of them are small.

Honestly OP I would put high floor and hope for the best.

We requested "high floor" when we had BW view at BW last year, and wouldn't you know it was the last room down that long long hallway ! But DH compared the walk down that nice air conditioned hallway to the one we had once at POFQ - when we were in the last building before the bridge to POR, about the same distance but outside in the heat and humidity of August !

The BW view rooms that are farthest from the elevator have the best views of fireworks. They are also very close to the stairway that takes you down to a short walk over the bridge for the Swan/Dolphin boat stop (only one stop to DHS from there).

I was thinking that too. My girls hate fireworks- the loudness of them. (It creates some real magical moments...) but being able to see from inside room or on balcony may ease them into it.

My in laws are staying at YC so using stairwell will be a quick walk there too.

I have been at the ends of the hallways at BWV. I have also been at the end of both the north and south wings of AKV Kidani. When staying at Kidani, where the hallway is more than 3 times the length of the longest hallway at BWV, I pined for those "short" hallway walks at BWV.

We were at Kidani in January. Lucked out with a pretty close room, but on a quest to find the best way to Jambo (why aren't there stairs at the end of the hall???) we walked ALL the way down and back....

No, I think in particular "crest of the wave" is a very popular request because it limits the chance of an enclosed balcony.

The hallway for the Boardwalk side of BWV really isn't that long - and if you take the steps, you negate that.

But have reasonable expectations for getting your request met, we've had one request met in all our years of being BWV owners - and that was for two rooms close to each other for my sisters cancer recovery trip - noted on the reservation.

I stayed in 5029 last year. View was great and balcony had bars (I think). Every morning you wake up looking right at Spaceship Earth. Also, great view of Eiffle Tower. You don't have a full view to the left towards Jelleyrolls but it was great. The view made the room. Well worth the extra money.

We're staying at BCV this summary bc we plan on spending some more time on the resort. I'm worried it isn't going to come close to our experience at BWV.

We stayed on 3rd floor, directly above the DVC model room. Amazing. Could see Spaceship Earth perfectly. Room 3007.

My DS 8 is sensitive to sound and initially did not like fireworks. Viewing them from in our room helped as well as a visit to TOTW to view Wishes. Now, he wants to go out on the balcony to see them.

I see some people talking of an enclosed balcony... What are the disadvantages to these rooms? Are they studios or bigger rooms?
