I never know where to post so I'm trying tip. I need a little advise. We are go to WDW Jan. 19-23. So I have a sat, sun, and mon. We are skipping MGM. What parks would you do on each day and why. I'm hopping since it is Jan. that it won't be too crowded and it really won't make a difference. My husband always teases me about planning too much so I'm trying not to plan it is really killing me. Only 88 days to go. :)

Sat: MK, Because 1. MGM has extra magic hours which will draw off some of the crowd, 2. because Sunday is the busiest day at MK in a typical week, so you want to not go there on Sunday, and because you should go to AK on Monday. Which leaves Sat for MK.

Monday: AK, because you get extra magic in morning--I avoid this in all parks except AK, as if you get on Kilimanjaro Safari at 8:10 or so, (arrive at AKA at 7:30) the animals are more active--in my experience. If you want to ride Everest (I love this ride), walk there after KS, FP, and do Dinosaur etc til your FP is ready--should be for about 9:30.

Sunday: Epcot, by default--as it's the only day left!

If'n it was me I always leave out AK since I figure I can go to a zoo at home (ok ok this is more than a zoo but if it a short trip the other parks have more to do)

You can access sites that give you info as to which days of the week are better as far as attendace is concerned but i am pretty sure that the other poster has it correct.

PLUS make sure you use all the time! Get to the park at rope drop and stay till they sweep you out!! Have fun and enjoy the whole trip. :cool1:

we arrived on a Tuesday nite. Went to MK on Wednesday, crowds were so low it was odd...until an AP holder told me that she finds Wed to be the best day of the week for MK. Friday we did MGM. We loved MGM!! We almost went back another day bc we enjoyed it so much. Crowd level there was really low as well. We were there the first week of April if this helps any.

Sat a must night for MK because of the light parade and fireworks
the park is generally open later on Sat and Sat could possibly the
only night you get to see the parade, I would make sure I was in
the MK on Sat night

Here is my plan as of THIS VERY MINUTE, but it will probably change a million times..between now and then...

Sat be at AK for rope drop to ride EE, we'll be done with AK by lunch and will probably go over to the MK for the rest of the day and watch the parade and fireworks.

Sunday morning, MGM at ropedrop, ride TOT, RnR, probably the Great Movie Ride, and wander around a bit, then head to Epcot by boat for lunch. Eat my fish and chips and either hit some rides if they aren't too bad, or wander around World Showcase. OR we will head back to the resort and rest after lunch...depends on how we are feeling....

Sunday evening, head to MK again for EMH, get our wrist bands and ride while everyone else is watching the parade/fireworks and close down the park with the evening magic hours.

Monday will probably be spent at Epcot and probably at least one other, but not sure....we'll see what we haven't done by then.

I had thought about going to the EMH at the AK on Monday, but the kids are dying to ride EE (since I told them how fun it was) and on this vacation I don't know if I want to get up for the Morning EMH.

I don't know...we went to MK on Sat night to see the light parade and it was so incredibly crowded. I think there were people lined up like 30-40 or more deep along the parade route. We were constantly being pushed, shoved, and run into by strollers as people attempted to get to better viewing spots. It was impossible for anyone, especially kids, to see much and then it was total gridlock trying to get out of there. We tried to leave after the parade and were planning on watching the fireworks at our hotel. We made it onto transportation just as the fireworks were starting. It was our first night in WDW and we were quite discouraged by all of this. However, we didn't try to go back on a different night for better viewing of the parade so maybe it is always like this.
We always seem to manage AK in a half a day (however this recent trip we didn't do EE because of my pregnancy) so if you can park hop you may be able to do something else on your AK day. Also, during our trip, Epcot didn't seem too crowded any time we went. I think we stopped there 3 half days once in the morning and twice in the afternoon/evening.

Hey, Thanks to all who answered the call. I didn't even think about MK on Sat. because I always hear about how crowded it is on weekends. That is really what I'd like to do. However we are going to the Pirates and Princess party on Mon. night and I don't know if we want to just spend the whole day at MK on Mon. or not. Does anybody know how crowd MK is on Mon. We would never consider skipping AK. we love Zoo and we love AK. Yep it's going to be MGM we skip. Only 83 days to go.
